for Duthoo
Duthoo asked students to design a paint retouch pen that solves all of the problems of their existing pen.
Researching the existing pen
The first step was to research the different parts of the pen and to analyze the problems. This showed certain problem areas that could be improved.

Similar principles can be found in other products such as ordinary ballpoint pens or even eyeliner.
Idea generation
Different ideas inspired by the research.
Quick and dirty prototyping
The different versions of the tip were made with a 3d-printer to test and decide what idea would be best.
Final concept
The final result is a touch-up pen that fits the list of demands.
